Part of Covey's success is without doubt that he appeals to most people's frustrations that came along with not achieving ambitious targets and full yield of talent. He provides for hope by pointing out a personal effectivity program. Which is a "good" thing as it might serve people to "grow".
However ... the effectiveness of the book grows once you studied the critical analysis of Covey's writings. The critic "The Cult of Educational Effectiveness" places Covey's ideas in an enlightening broader mindframe. It helps you to understand what Covey means, his intentions and presumptions. It learns on what issues you should keep some reserve and find your own way.
