See "Google's techtalk channel" gives a nice overview of the kind of stuff Google employees are interested in. It's part of the Google culture that in order to extend their (corporate) knowledge base, lectures by authorities on a broad spectrum of issues are offered to employees. These lectures are attended on a voluntary base which respects the employees own responsibility to spend time and to stay on top of things. From several perspectives it's very Interesting to see how and what Google does. It gives you an idea why Google is an often used example for application of post-modern management principles.
