Appreciative Inquiry is about the coevolutionary search for the best in people, their organizations, and the relevant world around them. In its broadest focus, it involves systematic discovery of what gives “life” to a living system when it is most alive, most effective, and most constructively capable in economic, ecological, and human terms. AI involves, in a central way, the art and practice of asking questions that strengthen a system’s capacity to apprehend, anticipate, and heighten positive potential.

Micro-inequity  and Micro-affirmations seem to be very important for the effectiveness of collaboration because of the way they influence motivation and self-esteem of co-workers. In this wiki it's heavily related to race and gender. It seems to me however that these expressions of attitude and opinion are important for the development of every relationship.

Critical notes at Stephen Covey's "Habbits"

Part of Covey's success is without doubt that he appeals to most people's frustrations that came along with not achieving ambitious targets and full yield of talent. He provides for hope by pointing out a personal effectivity program. Which is a "good" thing as it might serve people to "grow".
However ... the effectiveness of the book grows once you studied the critical analysis of Covey's writings. The keynote "The Cult of Educational Effectiveness" places Covey's ideas in an enlightening broader mindframe. It helps you to understand what Covey means, his intentions and presumptions. It learns on what issues you should keep some reserve and find your own way. Is such finding an authentic attitude towards a world full of prescriptions for life in fact not also one of the habbits Covey advocates? If you like Covey's works ... Read it! If you don't ... This website is special. It deals on a practical and simple way with a wide spectrum of communication and knowledge management techniques and principles. I explored it with mixed feelings. On one hand it's refreshing that some complicated things are that simple to explain and to manage. On the other hand it's annoying that obvious problems are neglected and that easy logical connections that reinforce their statements are overseen. Nevertheless a valuable link.
